Business Insights & Analytics Manager

Boosted is looking for a Business Insights & Analytics Manager to join our rapidly growing Growth team. Based out of our offices in either San Francisco or Mountain View, you will be a key member responsible for monitoring performance, translating data insights into business strategies, answering key business questions with data, and partnering closely with our executive team and Growth function to surface valuable findings. You will maintain a marketing forecast and evaluate marketing channel performance, as part of this, developing a multi-touch attribution model. In addition, you will advise us on selection and implementation of analytics tools.

About the Role

As Business Insights & Analytics Manager at Boosted, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Establish and maintain regular reporting that integrates and analyzes data from various sources to provide insight into the performance of our business and growth program
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis and data visualization to synthesize trends into actionable insights and tell the story behind the numbers
  • Work closely with the Head of Growth and executive team to conduct one-off analysis that answers key business questions, informs decision-making, and reveals new opportunities
  • Develop and maintain an attribution model to help us to build a more nuanced understanding of the impact of each of our marketing channels and inform our growth strategy
  • Build and maintain a marketing forecast that outlines the appropriate budget constraints and required performance to support growth and maintain appropriate inventory level
  • Collaborate across Growth, Marketing, Operations and Finance to ensure data is accurately reported, understand reporting and analytics needs, and surface relevant insights
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and manage third-party tools and vendors to help drive efficiency

  • 5+ years experience in analytics / business insights, finance, and / or management consulting (experience in eCommerce a must; experience with consumer goods or hardware a plus!)
  • Intermediate / Expert level experience working with Google Analytics; experience working in Tableau, SQL, and/or Python a plus
  • The ability to design and compile dashboards that ensure clear, accurate, and timely insight to the executive and cross-functional team
  • Demonstrated experience conducting well-structured, data-driven analysis that leads to actionable insight and synthesizing trends into a clear, compelling story
  • An attention to detail and track record of delivering high-quality, accurate work
  • A strong business acumen and desire to help inform and advise business partners with data-driven insights
  • A constant curiosity to understand why and the ability to use critical thinking to unravel complex problems and get to the root cause
  • Familiarity with marketing attribution models and the desire to help develop a more sophisticated multi-touch attribution model that accounts for a long consideration cycle
  • Familiarity working with marketing teams to build and refine forecasts and budgets
  • The ability to conceptualize, scope, manage, and prioritize multiple projects in an environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Comfort identify and learning new tools quickly to help yourself and the team work more efficiently
  • A passion for solving last-mile transportation challenges and enthusiasm for lightweight electric vehicles!
